My reasons for chosing Debian as well... a high priority placed on
security and stability. I run a mailing list server and roleplaying
support site with over 1000 subscribers and I want a box I can set up and
not worry about. I've been running Debian for three years and I've had no
trouble with it. The upgrades across versions have been smooth and I've
never had to do anything as drastic as wipe the disk and reinstall.
