It would be a nice feature.  Also good for caravans --- you can send them
to your wonder-city.  However, there is a big minus: when a unit is born
it becomes active and this tells me that I need to change production in
the city.  If the unit starts running away, it's very likely I'll waste
shields.

Ha!

If you have a good algorithm for such decision-making please share it with
us on freeciv-ai.  This is absolutely vital to making AI do coordinated
attacks (first you've got to build an army).
