I believe cfdisk is a "easier to use" way of using the regular linux
fdisk.
As I understand it, cfdisk was written to be a little more graphical but
used the fdisk backend to do its work. (cfdisk is not included in the
standard RH 7.2 install, although it was in earlier versions.)

fdisk is not all that hard, especially with the help list right there
with a single keystroke to bring it up.

And AFAIK, fdisk will see and manage (almost) any type of partition on a
drive while the dos/windows fdisk will ONLY handle drives with a single
primary partition and a single extended partition.
