"Tangible" is the key word here. Software is not "tangible
product of your labor", it's ideas.

Software _is_ protected by copyright, unfortunately, as are
books and screenplays. But this is a mistake and should stop
ASAP.

Game rules are not. They are a process. A process _may_ be
patented in some countries, in others not even that.
