There was a tileset which looked very similar to the existing
one, but had been considerably smoothed.  You'd feel at home.
I'll dig it up soon.

In any case, if we do make a major switch of icons, you'll still
be able to download the originals from the website.

(The original Danish authors of Freeciv never intended the current
tileset to be permanent.  Last time I heard, Peter Unold was
surprised that the existing tiles had lasted so long)
