What is when players want to stop the game because it is decided?

I think using /endgame for all losing players (+AI's ...) is no option because
after that it is not possible to speak about the games situation because the
information about the enemy is lost because the units and cities are removed
from the field.

That sounds to me like someone removes all of his figures in chess after he
surrendered in chess.
