Why do you assume that everyone is out to get YOU?

Chris has responded to many messages--not just those you wrote.  And he
has even disagreed with others--he's even disagreed with me!
I think we would all do well to realize that we are not on different sides
of a political/moral/ethical/whatever issue... but are all on the same
side of the information issue.  We all have a common goal (or at least I
hope so), and that is to gain more knowledge, and form a more accurate
understanding of the situation, and possibly a more mature opinion on the
issues at hand.
We all come to this conversation with different experiences,
understandings, and beliefs.  Some are undoubtedly wrong.  But just
because someone's opinion is different and/or wrong does not make them an
adversary.
