I called SWBell 2 days ago to find out about availabilty in my area (67207
zip-code). They said "no-go" but work should have been complete by fall
2000. I also asked about Linux. She said "SWBell does not support
Linux". She also said: "special software is required". She also mentioned
"PPPOE". A SWBell tech should be emailing me with some more info.

To John Alexander: Please bring up the subject of "being Linux
friendly" to people when people call sprints 1-800 number. It seems
SWBell thinks like CoxCable when Linux is concerned.
