I really like the waifsh way of working. http://www.eds.org/~straycat/waif/
In any term, I'd type, eg., '$ offlineimap sync', and it would start syncing
in the background. In any term, typing '$ offlineimap show' would show a
summary of folders synced / progress etc. (Alias that to '$ ols', to ls
what's being synced now. Typing '$ offlineimap ignore folder' would prevent
it from syncing that folder. I.e. offlineimap runs in the background and
receives commands / outputs status to the term the user uses to call it.
Just a variant for a CLI interface that doesn't use up an xterm.
