I have a Canon S450 too. There wasn't any support for it until recently (last
6 months, maybe). Mine is set up on the parallel port (it'll do either ppa or
usb) and when I installed Mandrake 7.2 it automatically detected it and set
it up with CUPS / Foomatic & gimp-print. It doesn't seem to be linked in to
all the applications, I couldn't get something to print to it the other day
(don't remember what I was using...), but my wife just printed a mail msg
from kmail and it worked just great.
