Well there are two I would recommend either NDC Host which will give you
20 gigs and about 11 Linux distro choices for about $19 per month but
due have extra fee's for Cpanel and Virtuoso but have an excellent
custom control panel that once you get the hang of is very functional.
Despite what you may have heard VPS Land is an excellent budget host at
6 gigs with a free 50% ram upgrade special going on that would put you
at $14 and change per month but they have a few less distro's but
excellent support and free Cpanel to control your VPS (reboots, Domain
binding, etc....) But in any event you are going to have to get your
hands dirty and make Putty your new best friend to access the command
line console. They also offer Window (yucky) hosting for a little
higher price but am unfamiliar with those plans. There are a few other
hosts out there but your hard pressed to find anything decent for under
$15 a month.

Oh, and both have free set up fee's which is good to look at if you are
googling alternative hosts other than the above mentioned..

I have ICQ, Google Talk, AIM, and Yahoo, all running on Pigeon (formerly
Gaim) so if you need some one on one advice I should be around. Let me
know if you need one of those SN's.....
