Please try it yourself. Most things are obvious, and I'm also
still experimenting. You will probably have one or two groups of
cities, and you will want to change the settings often during the
game. That's why a good interface is important. Just one example:

Initial expansion, small (1 and 2) cities growth: 
  Start with "Save" preset, then set: P= F*25 S*12
  That is, no production loss, Food weight 25, Science weight 12

A big one. If you want to manage a city yourself, you have to
switch off all CMAs nearby, adjust your city, and activate
the other cities' CMAs again. Using the main map is even worse.
