I can confirm that these work too.  With Solaris, I had
to follow the "I'm having troubles compiling under Solaris!"
section in the Freeciv FAQ, but it's possible, at least here.

I get even worse results than that for HP-UX boxes.  Since I'm
writing this from home, I can bag the choices that HP made
for their X in HP-UX all I like.

Bag, bag, bag.

For instance, they provide .a and .sl Xaw libs for X11R4, but
only .a for X11R5 and X11R6, afaicr.  And the directories they've
installed all this stuff in are just bizarre.  Oh to have
the nice, neat, /usr/X11R6/{include,lib,bin} of more sensible
Unixes....

Every couple of months, I try and compile X from scratch
under HP-UX, using gcc.  I never finish.  HP-UX can be
so wretched.

So am I.  I really really _really_ want to be rid of Imakefile
and Makefile.noimake.  Reiner?
