Why are DSL around here so slow AND expensive?  From people I know in Japan,
I hear deals like 8Mbps for $25/mo or 12Mbps for under $30/mo, with pretty
good service and support.  Not that very many people can utilize that kind
of connections all the time, but still....  I'm jealous.

Yes, that is one positive.  I think our speeds are close to DSL during
high peak usage times and during the low peak usage times cable is many
times faster.  A good time to download those ISO's.
