I'm running RH8.0 (Psycho) now and it barfed on my two NICs, but seemed t=
o=20
come out of it after some runic incantations to the "Network Device Contr=
ol."=20
(I've got DSL.) It kept saying "IP # already in use." (RH8.0 knows about =
my=20
parallel universe!) I'm also a KDE user, which has been rather mangled=20
up--hidden from sight, that is. Why, we can't know. But this is all deskt=
op=20
stuff, which doesn't really rate big tears to the ACLUGers, right?

I also installed Mandrake 9.0 and it seems much more honest--vis-a-vis KD=
E=20
anyway.

I think the Linux distros are seriously trying to challenge MS on the des=
ktop,=20
despite spin doctors saying it's hopeless. And why not?

Hope this confuses!
