The ferryboats are going to be nice, but not perfect. To limit the amount of
calculations needed they will not calculate every possibility exaustively. 
Because
of that I don't think they will be practical for small gotos on the same
continent, as you suggest.

(nothing I would like more than making them perfect, but I think More has some
work to do before we can affort that CPU wise...)
