Except for Kaupang (the original Kaupang doesn't exist), none of the
cities above is Scandinavian territory today - they are better known as
York (English), Vyborg (Russian) and Novgorod (Russian) today - the first
occupied by the Norwegians, the second two founded or occupied (?) by the
Swedes if I'm not mistaken. Then again, I see no reason why one city can't
be in several nationsets.
