I would suggest that someone talk about Gentoo at a future meeting. 
After having some trouble (w. AMD64) (e.g. not knowing enough linux, not 
having printer drivers for Savins), I find that I like Gentoo a lot.  It 
helps that James (Lancaster) is available (well, I can find him once 
in a while) and he is very knowledgable about Gentoo.  (I do 
not know about Tom (Wallis), but James seems to know more about 
Gentoo than does Mark (Arrasmith, who knows a lot about linux and 
maintains the department's computers, network, etc.).)
