* Yea.. but this would equire me to install on each machine... I
was hoping for something that was standalone and could boot from
floppy or CD-ROM

* These are all clone's from a local shop... and they keep all
install disc, manuals, and other items off site at their shop.

Here's part of the trouble, I have three systems myself that
support the AMD-K6 CPU's.. one uses only SIMM's, one only DIMM's
and the third one is a bit strange.... as long as I do not use the
onboard video, and I don't try to overclock, it is currently using
a mix of 60ns SIMMS and PC-60 DIMMS. (PC-100 would not work!) to
allow it to have 32meg more memory than it should have installed!
And I know that there is even a chance that these systems do not
even have the same motherboard.. but the same CPU as reported by
'BELARC' "Advisor" since the reported BIOS was different.... the
cases are all the same....... and the BIOS on boot does not report
the type of memory in use as some of the newer BIOS's currently do.
HOLD THE PRESSES......[and the typing] ... I just thought of
something that was part of the 'BELARC' report that I might be able
to do a bit more research on..... maybe if I am lucky I can do a
"Google" search using only the Main Circuit Board model number that
'BELARC' reports and find a copy of the service/owners manual
online....
