Anything is possible but at the time I started getting them:

1) I didn't live in Wichita
2) I'd never been a Saturday sale or knew anyone who had
3) I really didn't know anyone in Wichita
4) I'd never really used the email address that they were sending to

Additionally, I just went back to confirm this, but I didn't just get one
copy of their emails but rather 5. Each was addressed to a different
sales@domain address. None of these email addresses had ever been used
(and in fact weren't really valid email addresses which is how they all
got in my mailbox).

The addresses had clearly been web scrapped. All of the domain names were
customers whose sites we host that happen to have the word "Wichita" on
their pages. Most were not Wichita businesses and don't do business in
Wichita.

I'm reasonably certain that they addresses in question were all web
scrapped. One in particular almost had to be. We host a customer at
gardencity.net/theirname/. Their email address is theirname@xxxxxxxxx.
Yet I got a "personalized" email to sales@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx that was
customized for the customer "Dear Theirname...".

I don't think there is any question that this is spam.

Chris
