I think last Monday's meeting was a good example of what happens when you do a
presentation that probably only appealed to beginners -- a very low attendance.
This is not to say it wasn't worthwhile; but no one, besides those of us
presenting that night, was there to answer questions. To me, there is a great
advantage to having a mixed group.  I know what I know, and you know what you
know, and those aren't neccessarily the same things.  A broader range of
experiance brings with it a greater chance of a unique answer to a particular
problem. I've used Linux for ~4 years now, and I'm still learning new ways of
doing things -- sometimes from people who have used it for less time than I
have.


I'm not opposed to having a beginning user's night, but I'm not sure we have the
resources to keep it staffed. Perhaps we need to look outside the existing ACLUG
staff for help...
