Personally, I don't see the need to dump the case unless you have a
complaint about it.  The hassles/dangers inherant in dismounting and
remounting the motherboard, etc. would seem to point to a replacement of
the fan or power supply.  On that topic, if the fan is old enough to have
gone bad, I'd say the supply itself might be a bit long in the tooth.
Anyway, my first inclination is to change the supply only.  Now if I only
had a buck I could get some coffee.  :-)
