In all this excitement over cable modems, has anyone stopped to consider
that this is _Multimedia Cablevision_ we're talking about here?

Like, the chances those greedy buggers are going to offer a reduced rate for
Cable Modems are about as great as the chances they'll offer cheap cable TV
service. Snowballs in July, that is.

Now, what _would_ be interesting would be if Feist, or Southwind, or DTC, or
some other local ISP, decided to jump into the cable modem/cable TV
business. Some good old American competition's what we need around here!

Sincerely,
Alden Wilner (alden.wilner@xxxxxxxx)
