>From what I have been told. Multi-Media is throttling the cable modems to
allow only 128 Kbps bandwidth (same as 2 channel ISDN). Also, the upstream
bandwidth for the entire city is a single T1. So, while it is better than
a 33.6 or 56K modem, you are not going to get ethernet speeds out of it.

Also, you will get 1 static IP address.

These are the current plans, but things of course could change.
