Sounds like a bad power supply, it doesn't take much for them to go
out.  I would try another power supply before I would buy another mobo. 
Power supplies are cheaper and I would go with a higher wattage if you
have more than one hard drive or you have a CD-RW.  Just my humble
opinion.  ~Anne
