HORRAY!  Got nfs working.  Problem was that nfsd and mountd were
not running.  added a script that started rpc.nfsd and rpc.mountd in the
rc.local file and it works.  (Matt, your second sentence contained, "....
run an NFS server ...," but I didn't pick up on it.)

Note to self - read things more carefully.
