[linux-help] Re: forget root password

well, I tried to 'recover' my root password and I still cannot access it..
I am running RedHat 6, i replaced :LS1...: with : : (then ::) and I still get
"incorrect password".

any ideas?  by the way,  the time stamp on my passwd (and passwd-) files were 
set
during a time my daughter was "having trouble" playing a game on the 
internet....

it is a great life, if you don't weaken.
