 Nate and drbert,
thanks for your help.  I know I should spend more time with the man
pages... I'm just soo lazy....
I DID find XTERM in  "/etc.../fvwm2rc.menus.m4", i changed the exec to
include the -ls option and when I start xterm with the 'start' button it
work like I like it to work!  You may think I should be satisfied, but
NO...
When I start an xterm with the control keys (cntl, alt, shift X), it
does NOT use my .profile...,  So I should be looking at the man
pages...  But.. What is the 'pattern' I should search for to find out
how this configuration is executing XTERM when the 'control' keys are
used???
