Well, looking at the URLs where I got the pattern, the circles on the
shield are cut off at the sides.

The circles on the 3:2 flag look fine, but the pattern is much too small
to be visible on the shield.

I was hoping that the shield generation would just trim off everything
around the edges, but instead the pattern is shrunk?
