They are also broken in the current CVS correct? If they are, we can
commit this patch now and fix that afterwards with another patch.

They seem different issues to me, and this patch is getting quite large
already.

I'll see if I can do something about this. In a separate UI patch.

This seems reasonable. It will also go in a separate UI patch.


This is my plan: the current patch is better than what we have now, so in
it goes. I will do a new patch that adds the other UI features quicksnap,
the sliders fix may take a bit more, since I am not very familiar with the
CMA code.
