now with the workers.diff applied no crash occurs...

but still i wonder if its good to have this null-pinter in aiferry.c... 
ferryboaat->... with ferryboat = NULL...

now what about saving? if i save the just loaded file now will it be saved in 
the new format then? or will i have to apply the workers.diff now to every 
future version to continue my old game and thus break compatibility with the 
current versions for my games?
