I tend to build a huge stockpile of caravans/freight and head for a Cecil
B Demille classic featuring swarms of Cancerproof Shakespearean
Suffragettes wielding Hoovers, preferrably constructed by Smiths...

I am not sure whether I have ever been beaten by any strategy other than
use of the timelimit option. Pretty much the first resort of the players
on the freeciv.org servers seems to be to refuse to permit time enough for
all the cities and units to be given the appropriate orders. So basically
they win only by refusing to permit my strategies to be implemented.
