I'm English not Scots, but I know some history and have checked with scots
friends...

Scots are specifically Celtic, but blood is so well mixed due to long
co-habitation that Anglo-Saxon and Celtic are nearer than many think.

Being strict, one should not call Scots Anglo-Saxon, though. However, it is
notable that Gaelic is also an applicable term, as it is for Irish and welsh
(if they exist)
