Dear Freeciv Team,

        With David we have exchanged several mails concerning freeciv
further developpements. Feel free to critize and send us feedback. We are
only 2 coders among the Freeciv Team.

Here is the roadmap :

1.8.0: This version will be release as soon as the dns problem is fixed.

1.8.1: The primary goal of this version is the integration of the gtk client.
As for each version, patches that fixes a problem will be integrated first.
Other patches will be integrated only if they impose no further delay
on the release of 1.8.1 .

       Secondary goal is to be able to use a second metaserver.

       Other goals:
        - new command line;
        - minor changes on ruleset concerning building;
        - sell or exchange units in diplomatic treaties;
        - goto cursor;
        - change rules for diplomats vs spy.

        - fix ZOC rules to agree with civ2 (empty cities, getting of boat)

1.8.2: Internationalization of freeciv.
       Human-human alliances patch.
       Fog Of War limited to units.
       Generalized new races selection.

1.8.2+: Optional developpements:
        Major rules set changes for buildings
        City plans via gui.
        Full Fog Of War.

2.0: Abstraction layer for GTK and Xaw. Although by this time, we may be in
       position to do away with Xaw.

Ever needed work: Use the Wonders tiles.
                  Clean up of the code ! :)
