On Jan 13, Per Mathisen decided to present us with:

Shouldn't we exchange some points between 1.7.3 and 1.8.0? I
think GTK is ready for release (it has bugs, but it's also easy
to shut off in configure, could come off as default) while
space race probably won't be - and space race depends on
rulesets doesn't it? All things that use rulesets should
probably be held off till one version _after_ rulesets so we
have time to test them.

I wouldn't really like to make FreeCiv depend on esound. As all
things E-related it makes me install a lot of other stuff. Also,
the API isn't optimal - i've been looking into it and GSI and
GSI seems to be years ahead.
