Good idea, and it should be pretty easy to add: just match
vs player race names (with abbreviations) after matching
vs player names.  The only minor problem is that it adds more 
potential ambiguity for short (eg, one/few letter) abbreviations.

And all this should be documented somewhere; 
maybe a brief help page on "Chatline".
