hey, we all gotta start somewhere!  : ^ )  i started w/ RH5.1, and now am
using Debian 2.1 almost as well as (if not better than) RedHat (except for
my dang printer (HELP!) and time zone setting (DOUBLE HELP! : ^ ) ...

to "access" LILO in Debian, you just edit the /etc/lilo.conf file...  take
a good look at that file in RedHat (what you are indirectly editing when
you run control-panel like you were talking about), then run lilo to test
/ update your MBR...  not too hard, actually...  it's pretty easy to
figure out (unlike the stupid printcap file and printer filetrs! : ^ )

anyway, good luck w/ Debian!
