That's not entirely correct. The SiS6326 and similar on-motherboard video
controllers have been supported under XFree86 for at least the last three
versions. Matter of fact, I'm running two boxes with said controller. The
sound controller acts like a Microsoft Sound System interface, if you run
sndconfig, it finds it (first shot installation, in my case).
