I'm trying to remember the last snafu. It was originally trying to figure
out what they meant with their prompts. It asked for the name of the
"block device" and I no reference to use for answering that. I since found
out the terminology involved so that's not an issue anymore. I think the
last time it was simply that it wanted to load packages and asked for their
locations. I gave it the default choices and it still couldn't find most
of them. I explicitly sent it to the locations and still no luck. It's
the "official 2.0" release so I figured it was complete. It has the neat
option of getting the packages from a web site but since the system isn't
installed and configured the modem isn't working either. Like I said
before, I really wanted to see it done once and have that in the mental
database for a solo attempt. The one I got going at home isn't cooperating
either. It's RH 5.1 but I can't get the Video Servers working for anything
above VGA. My monitor is 43 Hz Interlaced, but that setting won't work for
some reason. This whole experience is exceedingly frustrating. I'm
desparately waiting for the new kernel to hopefully benefit from improved
installation/configuration utilities. Time will tell.
