I can't speak from my own experience, but this is what I just read on
another LUG ML recently.  Couple users there defended the quality of Matrox
2D card against nVidia or any other 3D card for the clarity of the screen
drawing.  No, they don't do anywhere as good for doing 3D rendering.  But
from what I've ready so far, that's not important in your office.  And these
forementioned users argued that it really helps to be able to stare at the
crystal clear screen provided by Matrox cards, compared to other, more
modern, cards they've tried on the same box.

Again, this isn't my first hand experience, so I can't tell how much
difference there is in quality.  But I wanted to share this, since the topic
was so close in nature.
