I had an impression that processes such as image manipulation, video
processing, and audio processing are rather I/O intensive, and get more help
from faster disks. Sure, having fast processors would help too, but with
such processes that uses swap spaces heavily would tend to suffer from disk
I/O bottle neck. Striping type of RAID would aid such process nicely.
