I am running 3 sessions of Seti at the same time, use the pc to check my
email, surf the web, download songs, have apache & mysql daemons in the
background on a single 1.4 AMD thunderbird without any problems. I am
also one of the top seti producers at 95.5+ percentile of all the seti
contributors. I must admit that I shutdown seti, apache, & mysql if I
want to play Quake 3 with the new nVidia & openGL drivers. Linux has
much superior memory & resource management to the cometitor and at a
much better price. I'm sold on it. I'm still trying to decide if I
want to stay with RedHat or switch to Suse. I have found more
documentation for RedHat. ~Anne
