[linux-help] erasing an IDE hard drive

I used the EZ drive with the western digital hard drive, Now I cannot get linux 
to read the hard drive.  I have removed the ez drive from it, but linux comes 
back with "no available resources"  or read error on hda boot sector.  Windows 
has no problem reading this.  I want to wipe the drive back to new condition
