[linux-help] Printer on Red Hat 6.2

Set up my server on Red Hat 6.2.  Did not install windows (it never asked and I
don't care) and did not install a printer (it didn't ask).
Want to add a printer.  Read the HowTo - it says my printer (HP682) works
perfectly in Linux and in Red Hat, I should set it up with Printtool, but
Printtool only works in xwindows.
I looked at the other Linux box (Mandrake) with the same printer installed.  
Seems
like in order to set it up,  I have to add the dozen or so filters, the dozen
programs the filters call, add some lines in printcap.  Plus whatever else I 
don't
know about.  Small chance of getting this all right.

Is there a non-windows printer setup program?
