Yep, I really, really, *REALLY* hate this bug.  I've known about it
for a while, but it is very hard to stomp.  I've checked and rechecked
the Pmw API, and I'm not doing anything evil, but for some reason,
this code above related to the way Pmw handles the scroll bars on
ScrolledFrame widgets (the things that are used to hold directory
listings) is totally schizophrenic.  I've mailed the maintainers
asking what's going on/reporting a bug twice, and been thoroughly
ignored.  :)  I'm still searching for some info on usenet and so on
for a way to fix it, but it is very transient, and I can't think of
anything I can do that would help it.
