[Freeciv] Attacking problems

Salute,
I have a small problem: I'd like to know how the game counts the attack
points of a unit.
for example: a legion (4 attackpoints) attacks two of my phalanx
(defense: 2 each) and it seems to me that he's killing both in one turn.
Is that thought so?
