Since this was a 1.4 / 1.3 issue, I wanted to maybe suggest we standardize
on 1.4 again.

I know we already discussed this, but Sun's release schedule for 1.4
indicates it's nearly out the door. But more importantly, I've noticed that
jfreeciv is considerably faster under 1.4 than 1.3 (just try scrolling the
map a lot under each JDK)...

Maybe we need a voting system like freeciv.org? ;)
