Yes, the files for the individual languages are quite large.

Except that the file isn't in CVS.

But it's not too much trouble to set up a script to generate it.
I already have a script to automatically fetch, compile and install *any*
Freeeciv version from scratch.  Just tell me how to create the freeciv.pot
file and I'll teach the script how to do it.
