Wait a sec!  All _your_ allies would declare war on _you_??
But this is a huge bug!

Maybe war decision should be up to players.  But still, an alliance should
mean mutual protection.  So if the players opt not to declare war, they
are effectively cancelling an alliance when their ally is in trouble, so
they should take a huge reputation hit!
