I'm aware of that. So? My intention was to allow compilation on FreeCiv 
on MSVC, too. This won't stop anyone to use gcc. And the "others may not 
have access you know" point is pretty much the same I made on IntelC++.

Well, I'll certainly try the aforementioned Eclipse/GCC combo.
